It is becoming increasingly important to be able to access your data and files from anywhere. One solution is to sync all of you files to all of your devices (desktop, laptops, smartphone, tablet, and even an iPad. Unfortunately all of these devices have a limited amount of internal storage.
ZumoDrive can help solve this problem.
Zumodrive creates a drive on your device that is synced to the cloud. But service has a different twist-the service tricks the file system into thinking those cloud-stored files are local, and streams them from the cloud when you open or access them. Via TechCrunch

You probably don’t want to sync all of your real estate files between your desktop and laptop or iPhone. You just want to be able to easily access those files when you need them.
ZumoDrive allows you to store your files in the cloud or easily sync entire folders to the cloud so you always have access to them. The big advantage of ZumoDrive is that the service practically gives all of your devices unlimited storage.
ZumoDrive Features:
Mobile Access
By storing your files in the cloud and not on your device, ZumoDrive essentially gives your smartphone several gigs of extra storage. ZumoDrive is available for iPhone, Android, and Palm Pre.
Folder Linking
Easily sync a folder to ZumoDrive by right clicking on that folder and selecting “Link Folder to ZumoDrive”. That folder will then be synced to the cloud and the contents available on other devices.
Sharing
Share files with specific people by emailing them directly from ZumoDrive or create a link to send to someone.
Music and Photos
Access all of your photos and music from ZumoDrive. ZumoDrive integrates with iTunes so you can listen to your iTunes from everywhere.
How much does it cost?
The free account gives you about 2 gigs of storage. 10 gigs of storage costs $2.99/month. 25 gigs of storage costs 6.99/month. Click here for the complete price list.
I use ZumoDrive to access documents that I might need while I am out of the office. I currently store an FHA Checklist on ZumoDrive that I can reference while doing an FHA real estate appraisal. I also use it to store a copy of my appraisal license and E&O insurance. I can easily email someone a copy of my license if I am out of the office.
How would use a service like ZumoDrive?

Interesting as always. By the way, do you have an iPad?
Hi Bryan, Thank you so much for this helpful walk-through tutorial. It’s exciting that we’re headed this way….and with a little since of apprehension in terms of security of our data. We’re looking to you for help on moving to the “cloud” environment.
Also, I received an email this morning about “Change Is Coming” and #8 speaks about your post.
“8. The “Things” That You Own. Many of the very possessions that we used to own are still in our lives, but we may not actually own them in the future. They may simply reside in “the cloud.” Today your computer has a hard drive and you store your pictures, music, movies, and documents. Your software is on a CD or DVD, and you can always re-install it if need be. But all of that is changing. Apple, Microsoft, and Google are all finishing up their latest “cloud services.” That means that when you turn on a computer, the Internet will be built into the operating system. So, Windows, Google, and the Mac OS will be tied straight into the Internet. If you click an icon, it will open something in the Internet cloud. If you save something, it will be saved to the cloud. And you may pay a monthly subscription fee to the cloud provider. ”
Bill
Thanks Ryan. I do not have an iPad and as of right now I do not plan on getting one. They look like a very useful device and because of their low price, I can image in the not so distant future a house will have 3 or 4 iPad devices: one in the kitchen to view recipes, one in the living room to control your TV and other things, etc. Do you think you might get an iPad?
Bryan, I’d love to get in iPad eventually. Do you have to have a plan with AT&T though? I wonder what the additional charge per month is or if there is some sort of wireless internet installed already in the iPad.
Thanks Bill. The cloud is coming and with the release of the iPad and the popularity of netbooks growing, the need and dependence of the cloud is growing. Not to mention that these days individuals have more than one device and need to get to their data no matter where they are or what type of computer they happen to be using at the moment, smartphone, laptop, home computer, coffee shop, etc. And You right about the need for securing our data in the cloud.
You do not have to have a plan with AT&T. There is a WiFi model and a 3G model. The 3G model costs an additional $30 a month for unlimited data. I would have to get the WiFi model since I pay for internet with my iPhone and internet at home.
Thanks Bryan. I’d stick with the free plan too since I’m in the same boat. The iPad would be a nice luxury, but I don’t think it would be worth another ongoing fee of $30 per month when I’m paying two internet bills already.
