Twitter is a very useful social network and micro-blogging service. But it has many uses other than micro-blogging. One of the many things you can do with Twitter is track your gas mileage. You can view your fill-up history and how your fuel effiency trends over time. You can also go to their garage and browse and compare members cars.
Keeping track of your fuel economy is an important step towards getting more miles per gallon. I can see a difference in my fuel economy depending on where my appraisals are located and if I am mostly driving in the city or on the interstate. What a clever use of Twitter! That’s a far better way to use it than to send out inane messages such as “New blog post soon!”
