A Day in the Life of a Real Estate Appraiser. Episode # 2

by Bryan McDonald

A quick walkthrough of an REO property.

One good thing about being a real estate appraiser is that no two days are ever alike.  Every house is different and every appraisal is different.  This is especially true when appraising a foreclosure.  Most REO properties I appraise have deferred maintenance and I rarely know what kind of condition the house is going to be in until I walk in the door.  The following video is from a REO property that was very dirty, needed a lot of repairs, and had a possible infestation problem.

I had a little trouble with the lockbox that was on this house but finally made it inside.  The house was a lot worse on the inside than I thought it would be.  The video was a little long so I cut out the walkthrough of a few bedrooms.

Thanks Jenn! I am glad you liked it. I had no idea that house was going to be in such bad condition!
